Tehran's international airport has reopened and flights carrying hajj pilgrims from Saudi Arabia have landed, Iranian news agencies reported early Tuesday.

"The deputy head of airport operation of Imam Khomeini Airport Company announced the resumption of flights to Imam Khomeini Airport and the flights of pilgrims," Mehr news agency reported.

Tehran's international airport suspended all incoming flights on Sunday after Iranian missile strikes on Israel.

Twenty Western countries have expressed "deep concern" at Israel's move to ban humanitarian agencies from operating in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

Dozens of aid agencies have refused to comply with the government's draconian registration rules and have had their licenses revoked.

Israel's Supreme Court last month sided with the government and gave the organisations 30 days to comply or have their operations shut down.

"The recent decision by the Israeli High Court to reject the INGOs’ appeal regarding the registration law is deeply concerning," the countries said in a joint statement on Monday. "We again strongly urge Israel to not implement the registration law in its current form."

Signatories include France, the Netherlands, the UK, Sweden, Japan and Australia.

Israel's far-right national security minister Itamar Ben Gvir has dismissed news that Italian prosecutors have opened an investigation into his humiliation of activists who were abducted by Israeli forces from the Gaza flotilla last month.

Ben-Gvir caused outrage in Europe after he filmed himself mocking the activists, who later shared harrowing testimony about their alleged mistreatment at the hands of Israeli officers.

“Israel isn’t a punching bag for a gang of lying terror supporters who invent libels and lies against our fighters,” The Times of Israel quoted him as saying.

“I am undeterred by this sort of investigation and will continue to stand proudly with our fighters.”

The Israeli military said on Monday night it had intercepted a drone launched from Yemen.

Sirens were heard in Israel's southern city of Eilat earlier this evening.

The head of Iran's Revolutionary Guards Quds Force Esmaeil Qaani said Tehran is establishing a "new security belt" from the Strait of Hormuz in the Gulf to the Bab El-Mandeb Strait, near Yemen in the Red Sea, according to comments carried by state media.

Donald Trump has told Axios he warned Netanyahu that he could lose his support if he renews the war against Iran.

“I said, ‘Bibi, you better be careful, or you will be on your own very soon’.” Trump was quoted as saying by the US news outlet.

Israel triggered the latest exchange of strikes after it bombed southern Beirut on Sunday. Iran responded by firing several waves of missiles at Israel, drawing renewed Israeli attacks in western Iran on Monday.

Italian prosecutors are investigating Israel's far-right national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir over the alleged mistreatment of activists who were part of the Gaza flotilla last month, a judicial source said on Monday.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun made a rare public appeal to the Israeli government and people in an interview with CNN aired on Monday, saying a military solution "will never provide you with security and safety" for the people in northern Israel.

"We are ready, we are willing, we are committed. Are you? If you are, let's sit and talk," said Aoun.

He said he would not meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before reaching an agreement to end the war, which he said would be a non-aggression pact and not a full peace deal.

An Israeli dawn strike on south Lebanon killed seven people including a woman and a child, the Lebanese health ministry said on Monday.

"The Israeli enemy raid at dawn today on the town of Zifta, Nabatieh district, resulted in 7 martyrs, including a Syrian child and a woman, and 8 wounded, including two women," the ministry said in a statement.

A US warplane fired on and disabled an unladen oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman on Monday after the vessel violated Washington's blockade of Iran's ports, the US military said.

The F/A-18 Super Hornet "fired a precision munition into the ship's engineering and steering spaces after the crew failed to comply with directions from US forces," US Central Command said on X, adding that the Palau-flagged ship M/T Marivex "is no longer sailing to Iran."

At least 3,637 people in Lebanon have been killed in Israeli attacks since 2 March, Lebanese health authorities said Monday.

Almost 11,200 others have been wounded.

The Israeli military has ordered residents of a suburb of Tyre, south Lebanon, to flee north across the Zahrani River.

The army's Arabic-language spokesman wrote on X that the the Zuqaq al-Mufdi neighbourhood of the city would be attacked, without disclosing when.

The Lebanese Red Cross said an Israeli strike wounded four rescuers near their centre in the southern Lebanese city of Tyre.

In a statement, the Red Cross said "the targeting that occurred in front of the Lebanese Red Cross centre in Tyre" wounded four paramedics. Lebanese state media had earlier reported an Israeli strike on a vehicle in front of the centre.

An Israeli airstrike in Gaza killed three Palestinians, including a child, on Monday evening, according to Palestinian news agency WAFA.

The strike targeted a group of civilians in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to a medical source. Several others were injured in the attack.

US President Donald Trump called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, a White House official told AFP, after the first exchanges of fire between Israel and Iran since an April ceasefire.
