- Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson says that Iranian and Qatari officials are meeting in Doha, Qatar to discuss the country's frozen assists, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding with the US.
- Iran also said it will respond to any US violation of the memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the war in the Middle East. "We will not leave any action unanswered. As Iran's powerful armed forces have demonstrated, any act of aggression against the objectives of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be met with an immediate and decisive response," Esmaeil Baqaei told reporters at a weekly press conference.
- Despite no planned talks between the US and Iran, envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner will be in Doha to meet Qatari mediators to discuss US-Iran negotiations, Qatar's foreign ministry spokesperson said.
- Conflicting reports have emerged this morning from the US and Iran regarding a new round of talks scheduled to take place in Doha, Qatar, with President Donald Trump saying that Iran requested a meeting, and Tehran denying that any direct negotiations were planned.
- Iran has also insisted to take responsibility for clearing mines in the Strait of Hormuz, rejecting a statement from French President Emmanuel Macron who said will work with Oman to secure navigation in the strait and clear mines from the key waterway.
