  • Iranian officials hailed the agreement with the US as a "diplomatic victory". For his part, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stressed any agreement with the US must include the release of frozen Iranian assets, sanctions relief and Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon.

  • Iran also noted Israel has already violated the agreement in Lebanon and warns of a "harsh response" if attacks continue. Despite a "ceasefire" and other agreements, Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon have persisted every day, with injuries and deaths being recorded.

  • Israeli attacks also continued in Gaza, pushing the death toll higher every day to beyond 73,000 Palestinians killed since October 2023.
