Israel's Gal Gadot 'fuming' after Palestine protesters crash London movie set
Gal Gadot was reportedly "fuming" after dozens of pro-Palestine activists disrupted the London filmset of her new movie on Thursday.
The actress, a former Israeli soldier, was forced to abandon the shoot when the group of protesters showed up waving Palestinian flags and chanting anti-war slogans, according to The Daily Mail.
Video captured of the scene shows the protesters gathered beside a canal in Camden, with one man banging on a drum and a woman activist shouting "stop bombing Palestine, stop bombing babies" through a megaphone.
After the activists arrived, she was reportedly replaced with a body double and police were called to the scene.
Officers were filmed talking to the protesters though it is unclear whether they made any arrests.
Gadot has been an outspoken supporter of Israel's brutal war on Gaza, which has killed tens of thousands of women and children and wiped much of the territory off the face of the earth.
She has repeatedly made public statements in support of the war, and helped promote the Israeli military's film about Hamas's surprise 7 October 2023 attack on Israel by organising a screening in Los Angeles.
The 39-year-old actress is currently working on The Runner, a thriller being developed for Amazon MGM Studios which began filming at the end of April.
This comes a few months after the troubled release of Gadot's last film, Snow White, which faced boycott calls from pro-Palestine groups.
The film, in which Gadot played the role of the Evil Queen, was poorly received by critics and tanked at the box office.
There were rumours of an on-set feud between Gadot and her co-star Rachel Zegler, who has made public comments sympathising with the Palestinians.
