An Israeli airstrike on Sunday targeted a residential apartment in Haret Hreik in Beirut's southern suburbs.
Lebanon's health ministry said five person were killed and 28 others were wounded in the attack.
The strike came as Israel continues to escalate attacks across Lebanon. Beirut’s southern suburbs have been hit several times since the ceasefire agreement of 27 November 2024.
Earlier on Sunday, one person was killed in an Israeli strike on the town of Aita al-Shaab in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon.
The latest attacks came as Hamas officials arrived in Cairo to discuss Israel's ongoing ceasefire violations in Gaza, a day after another 21 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, according to Saudi news media.
The delegation, led by the group's chief negotiator Khalil al-Hayya, will meet with officials from Egypt, Qatar and the US in the Egyptian capital, a source told Al Hadath.
Israel has violated both ceasefires in Lebanon, reached a year ago, and in Gaza since it came into effect six weeks ago.
