Far-right settler group Hilltop Youth track assaults on Palestinians in West Bank
A group of far-right extremist Jewish settlers has published a document detailing attacks carried out against Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, local media reported.
The document, which provides details on assaults on Palestinian villages throughout February and March, has reportedly been seized by security officials, The Jerusalem Post said.
The document, written by organisers for the Hilltop Youth far-right organisation, is titled "Summary of the month in the struggle against the Arab enemy in the Holy Land during the month of Adar", in reference to the twelfth month of the religious Hebrew calendar, which corresponded this year to 17 February until 18 March.
The document lists the number and names of the Palestinian villages attacked, as well as the number of times the far-right organisation has launched attacks there.
It also details the number of Palestinians injured, which West Bank mosques were set on fire, the damage was done to Palestinian properties, how many olive trees were cut down, and how many tyres were punctured, among other types of attacks.
The West Bank has witnessed an uptick in Israeli army and settler attacks since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023, as well as since the US-Israeli assault on Iran in February.
Since the start of March, six Palestinians have been shot dead in settler attacks, according to a tally of data from the Ramallah-based health ministry.
In the 28 months between the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023 and the start of the war with Iran last month, 24 Palestinians were killed by settlers, according to figures released by OCHA.
In recent weeks, the villages of Qusra, Kisan, Wadi Fukin, and others have been subject to violent settler attacks, where marauding settlers have rampaged through residential areas seeking to harm Palestinians and their properties.
In Wadi Fukin, Jewish settlers ran over four Palestinians, who sustained cuts and bruises in the incident.
Israeli forces and settlers have killed at least 1,133 Palestinians since the outbreak of Israel's war on Gaza in October 2023, labelled a genocide by experts and NGOs, including the UN. A further 11,700 have been injured, while almost 22,000 have been detained.
Soldier and settler violence has also led to the displacement of over 1,500 Palestinians since the start of the year, adding to the almost 40,000 that were forcibly displaced since the outbreak of the war.
