Israel has launched a "large-scale and significant" military attack on Jenin on the third day of the ceasefire in Gaza and just hours after Donald Trump was inaugurated as US president.
The Palestinian Health Ministry says that eight Palestinians have been killed and 35 wounded by Israeli forces in Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.
Meanwhile, humanitarian organisations are continuing to bring vital supplies of aid into the Gaza Strip, and Hamas has announced it will release four female Israeli soldiers during the second prisoner-exchange due to take place on Saturday.
