Alaraby TV began broadcasting from its new headquarters in Qatar's Lusail city on Tuesday, completing its aim of fully relocating its operations to a studio on Arab soil.

The move comes more than eight years after the pan-Arab news channel launched in London in 2015, and has been hailed by the channel as "Al Araby on Arab ground".

Alaraby TV is the Arabic-language television sister channel of The New Arab and Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.

"Under the slogan 'Alaraby on Arab Ground', Alaraby TV reconfirmed the principles it abides by, presenting professional and reliable news coverage and programmes and adhering to the highest standards of ethics, objectivity, and accuracy, all while emphasising its commitment towards the Arab public and their causes," Alaraby TV said in a statement.

Alaraby TV says its new launch from Qatar reaffirms its commitment to delivering reliable news and programmes on the region, while also bringing it closer to the Arab public.
