Zeenat Adam

Zeenat Adam is a writer, a former diplomat for the South African government, and an international relations analyst. Over a two-decade career, her work has centred on political analysis, human rights, and the intersections of Africa and West Asia. As a commentator and analyst, she contributes to media, think tanks, universities, and public platforms, and advises organisations and institutions on geopolitical risk, international strategy, and engagement across Africa and West Asia. She has served as Deputy Executive Director of the Afro-Middle East Centre, South Africa’s leading research institute on West Asia and North Africa, and sits on the Advisory Board of the Thabo Mbeki African School of Public and International Affairs.
