Dr. Ramzi Abou Ismail is a social and political psychologist specializing in collective violence, intergroup conflict, and social identity, with a particular focus on the Middle East region. He is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Social Justice and Conflict Resolution at the Lebanese American University.
Dr. Abou Ismail’s research explores the psychological underpinnings of collective violence and the dynamics of societal divisions, focusing on factors such as authoritarianism, social dominance, and dehumanization. A member of the International Society for Political Psychology (ISPP), the International Society for Research on Aggression (ISRA), and the American Psychological Association (APA), he has presented his work at major international conferences and published in leading academic journals.
