"We live in harsh cold, with no heating and no clothes. Food is difficult to obtain," a 42-year-old mother of four remarked to The New Arab. 

"The year 2024 was full of sadness, oppression, loss, terror, displacement, hunger, and killing, but I consider myself lucky that I have survived..."

Abu Safiya refused to leave the hospital, opting to continue his "humanitarian mission" of treating the patients in Kamal Adwan despite the dangers.

"He was waiting in front of the gate of Al-Awda Hospital for the arrival of his firstborn child," Odai al-Jadi, Ayman's brother, said to The New Arab. 

Christians, like other people in the Strip, are also deprived of access to humanitarian aid and basic materials in light of a stifling siege.

The Israeli army killed at least 4,000 Palestinians in the north of Gaza over the past two months, a Palestinian official told The New Arab.

About 91 persons, including patients and medical staff, are still stuck inside the hospital without knowing what will happen to them.

Palestinian women, who amount to mostly half of Gaza's population, are already planning to deal with the post-ceasefire conditions.   

"We decided to make concessions in order to make the negotiation efforts successful and stop the war in Gaza to spare our people further Israeli crimes."

"Do they not know that people are dying of hunger, cold and oppression in Gaza? Will these games save them?" a Palestinian engineer remarked to The New Arab.
